From the earliest days in 1883 the postal history of North Borneo follows the events which created, maintained and befell the Company. Its resources, celebrations and war time occupation before being sold to the British Government in 1946 are all explained by philately and associated ephemera.
 
Peter Cockburn is a life long collector stimulated by working in Malaysia and collecting that country in various forms.
