As inflation accelerated patrons were forced to take extraordinary measures to mail a letter.  This registered quadruple rate letter was mailed on October 18, 1923 from Oswiecim to Vienna Austria.  120 stamps were used totaling 35,000 Polish Marks to pay the correct rate.

Ron is a long time stamp collector and exhibitor who joined the APS in 1982 and first exhibited at ROPEX in Rochester NY in 1988. Ron is currently a member of several philatelic societies including the AAPE (Diamond Award Recipient and 2015 Clyde Jennings Award Winner), UNPI (Board Member & Secretary), USSS, UPSS, ATA, and Sports Philatelists International. Ron enjoys philatelic writing and is also enthusiastic exhibitor.  An exhibiting highlight was his participation at NY2016 as an exhibitor in the experimental first day cover class, where his exhibit was one of just two which received a Gold Medal. He currently serves Polonus as a BOD Member and President of the Society. Ron resides in Tampa, Florida, where he is a global training director.
