Undoubtedly the simple British Penny is the most important denomination ever and caused “ Mass Communication” upon which our commercial world relies. Yet no one was prepared for this or planned for this ; the ‘Dawn’ of mass communication was a total accident. So where did it all begin and how did it achieve such heady status ?
 
Please allow me to tell you the ‘Story’ which commenced in 1635.

Holyoake came to the philatelic world by accident in May 2001 made possible by “ The Queen + Marilyn Munroe + American Express “ to whom he is very grateful.
Alan is a Londoner and now meant to be retired and currently lives on the beautiful Island of Jersey.
 
“Other than the Royal, The Collectors Club New York has a special place with me and over the years “ enjoyment“ which is important especially as you get older. Yes I “done” one or two things and believe many know me — I guess I’m just lucky.”
