David D’Alessandris is currently the President of the United States Philatelic Classics Society. He is also the assistant section editor for the Foreign Mails section of the Chronicle, and was awarded the USPCS’ Distinguished Philatelist Award in 2020. David’s primary collecting interest is cross-border mail with the Canadian Maritime Provinces. He published a series of articles on the topic in the Chronicle, three of which were awarded the Susan M. McDonald award.
David is also an active collector of revenue stamps, and is a director of the American Revenue Association. David is an occasional exhibitor, most recently receiving 94 points at the New York 2016 international show for his single-frame exhibit of Cunard Line mail between Halifax and the United States.
