Sandeep Jaiswal moved from Kolkata to California in 1985 for higher studies. He currently lives in Rhode Island. Sandeep was involved in European men’s & women’s fashion business for over 25 years and is now in the smoothie and real estate business. He is also a dealer and an auctioneer of Indian States philately.

Sandeep has been collecting Indian States, British India postal stationery, Ceylon postal stationery, Burma postal stationery & Nepal postal stationery at a serious level since 1985. He has over twenty different philatelic exhibits that have each won a Gold medal or higher at the National or International level. His exhibit on Queen Victoria postal stationery has been awarded three FIP Large Gold medals. An “edition d’or” based on his QV postal stationery exhibit was released at Monacophil 2022. Sandeep expertizes India and Indian States philatelic items for multiple expertizing agencies. He is the editor of India Post, journal of the India Study Circle. He is a fellow of the Royal Philatelic Society, London. Sandeep has published three books on India and Indian States philately.
