“Jackie’s Cachet: The Story of ArtCraft’s Tribute for the 1964 John F. Kennedy Memorial Stamp”
 
Michael Lake began collecting stamps at the age of 13. He has specialized in ArtCraft cachet varieties for over 25 years. He writes the “ArtCraft Variety Spotlight” column in each issue of the AFDCS bimonthly journal First Days, and co-authored the recent 7th Edition of “The Comprehensive Listing of ArtCraft Covers: Their Varieties and Values”. Michael has been a member of the American First Day Cover Society since 1988, when he joined as a junior member. He currently serves on the Society’s Board of Directors as well as Chairman of the AFDCS Education Department. He is also a member of the American Philatelic Society, the United States Stamp Society, the American Ceremony Program Society, and the Canal Zone Study Group.

Henry B. Scheuer started collecting United States first day covers in 1959 and began acquiring older material in 1965. Over the last 45 years, he has written many articles, addressed numerous philatelic groups, and has been involved in various aspects of creating and collecting covers. Henry is a long time member of the Collectors Club, having served on its Board of Governors. He is a 25 year member of the American Philatelic Society, the American First Day Cover Society, and the United States Stamp Society.
