As a historian, my approach to the National Postal Museum’s philatelic collection combines the study of material culture with the analysis of written documents. Using the National Postal Museum’s collection, my talk will highlight some how the ways historians look at objects and the study of social philately overlap and are mutually beneficial and offer resources for further research.
