Youth Stamp Club The Collectors Club Youth Stamp Club begins its third year in the fall of 2011. This free program is open to students in Grade 4 and up. The Youth Stamp Club meets once a month on a Saturday morning from 10:00–11:30AM at the Collectors Club of New York, which is located at 22 East 35th Street, Manhattan. The Youth Stamp Club meetings for the 2011-2012 season are scheduled for the following dates:
For information or to register email to collectorsclub@verizon.net or call 212-683-0559. Stamp Collecting is a hobby that provides kids with fun while learning about history, geography, people and places and almost every imaginable topic including space exploration, sports, animals, insects and the United Nations, to name just a few. Beginners will be introduced to this fascinating hobby and youth who are already collectors will find new opportunities and encouragement. Age-appropriate activities and projects will be offered. This is not a “fill in the spaces in an album” program; something new is offered at each meeting. There is no charge and all stamps and other material will be provided; everything completed by the young people will be theirs to keep. For a downloadable flyer, click here. If you have a group of kids of the right age that might be interested in an introductory program at your location contact the Collectors Club at the address above. |
